If you know our pizza, you KNOW it's "pizza worth driving for" (Zagat 2005-06). Our handmade coal-fired oven bakes our brick oven pizza at temperatures exceeding 900 DEGREES! That's 300 degress hotter than a wood fired oven. Pies cook between 3 and a half to five minutes. Our pizzas are thoroughly cooked, crisp, and slightly charred.
So, come to our location in Huntington and enjoy our unique pizza!
WE ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS!
AOL CityGuide Review:
Where would the Long Island pizza scene be without Patsy Grimaldi's nephews? Another one of her kin, Bill Massa has even figured out how to coal-oven bake a single slice. All the pizza and calzones baked in Massa's thousand-degree coal fire oven are cooked to order, so don't expect to see pizza sitting in the window gathering dust. In addition to calzones and pizza (in Massa's oven, a pie takes just over three minutes to cook), there's also antipasta salad, chicken Caesar salad and fresh baked eggplant parm. The margarita pie is probably the most requested pizza, but then anything cooked in a coal oven is going to set precedent when it hits the palette. Just be sure not to get too close to the oven, unless you're in a block of ice.
